Yes — an IV treatment can absolutely still help even if you're not dehydrated. While hydration is one big benefit, IV therapy is about a lot more than just fluids. Here’s why it can still be valuable:
🧬 1. Rapid Nutrient Absorption
IVs deliver vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and antioxidants directly into your bloodstream, bypassing digestion.
This means higher bioavailability — your body absorbs more of the nutrients compared to oral supplements.
Especially helpful if you have gut issues, low absorption, or need a fast boost.
⚡️ 2. Energy & Metabolism Boost
Even if you're hydrated, nutrients like B12, B-complex, magnesium, and carnitine can help support:
Energy production
Mental focus
Fat metabolism
Workout performance and recovery
🛡️ 3. Immune Support
IVs with vitamin C, zinc, glutathione, or other antioxidants can strengthen your immune system — especially if you're stressed, traveling, or just run down.
✨ 4. Beauty, Skin & Anti-Aging
Glutathione, biotin, vitamin C and collagen-boosting blends are popular for skin brightening, reducing inflammation, and supporting hair/nail growth.
These nutrients have effects at the cellular level even if you’re fully hydrated.
🔄 5. Detox & Inflammation Reduction
IVs with glutathione, taurine, or alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) help support liver detoxification and reduce oxidative stress.
Beneficial even if your fluid levels are normal.
🧘 6. Recovery, Stress Relief & Sleep Support
IVs with magnesium, B vitamins, and amino acids can help calm the nervous system, reduce tension, and improve sleep — all without you being dehydrated.
📌 In Short:
Even if you're fully hydrated, IV therapy: ✔️ Delivers high doses of nutrients your body may need
✔️ Supports energy, mood, immune health, and recovery
✔️ Works fast and absorbs better than pills
✔️ Can be tailored to your specific goals (fat burn, focus, glow, etc.) -
💧 Immediate Effects (Within 15 minutes to a few hours)
Hydration: You may feel more refreshed, less foggy, and more energized almost immediately if you were dehydrated.
B Vitamins & Energy Boosters: Can kick in quickly, giving you mental clarity or a boost in energy — especially if you were deficient.
Nausea, headaches, or fatigue relief: Often relieved within an hour if related to dehydration or nutrient imbalance.
🔄 Lasting Effects (1 to 3 days)
Energy, mental focus, and mood support from nutrients like B12, magnesium, and amino acids may last for a few days.
Some report better sleep, reduced stress, or improved workouts during this period.
🛡️ Longer-Term Effects (Up to 1–2 weeks or more)
Immunity support (vitamin C, zinc, glutathione): Can help strengthen your immune system and cellular repair over several days.
Recovery from illness, jet lag, or burnout: Depending on severity, the benefits may be felt for a week or more.
🧬 Factors That Affect How Long You Feel It:
Your baseline health: If you're really depleted, you'll feel the effects more — and longer.
The blend you receive: Energy-boosting IVs (with B12, taurine, etc.) feel different than immune or beauty blends (with glutathione, vitamin C).
Hydration level before treatment: More dehydrated = more noticeable effect.
Lifestyle afterward: Proper rest, hydration, and diet can help prolong the benefits.
Frequency of IVs: If you get IV therapy regularly, effects may feel more balanced over time rather than dramatic.

💉 Immediate Effects (Same Day to 24 Hours)
Increased energy, mental clarity, and improved mood — mostly from B12 and B-complex vitamins.
Mild appetite control, sometimes from ingredients like MIC (methionine, inositol, choline) or carnitine.
🔄 Fat Metabolism Support (Lasts ~3–7 Days)
Lipotropic compounds help mobilize and transport fat from the liver for metabolism.
Carnitine may help your body burn fat for energy, especially when combined with cardio or calorie-burning workouts.
These effects can build over time with repeated treatments.
🔁 Cumulative Benefits (4–8 Weeks with Weekly Drips)
Regular weekly or biweekly sessions help keep your body in a fat-burning, metabolically efficient state.
When combined with diet and exercise, clients often see noticeable changes in body composition over 4–6 weeks.
The results are not permanent if not supported by ongoing healthy habits.

While oral supplements can help, and B12 injections bypass the gut, your overall nutrient status and cellular health still affect how well your body uses B12 and other vitamins.
Inflammation, poor diet, or other deficiencies may limit the effectiveness of a shot or oral vitamins.
A customized IV with cellular repairing and inflammation reducing antioxidants and nutrients go deeper to address the route cause.

Labs are generally not required but are always recommended when you are able. It is always helpful to see where exactly your vitamin deficiencies lie. However, the treatments and dosage of vitamins we administer are beneficial for most people.
We will in the future be able to order labs. For now, anyone can order through Quest Diagnostics.

Great question — it can be frustrating when you expect a boost from a B12 shot and don’t feel any noticeable effect. While many people do report increased energy, mental clarity, or mood improvement, some feel little to no difference. Here’s why that might happen:
🧠 1. You Might Not Be Deficient
B12 shots have the most impact when you're deficient.
If your levels are already adequate, your body simply stores the excess — especially in the liver — and you won’t necessarily feel a change.
Think of it like topping off a tank that’s already full.
💉 2. The Type of B12 Matters
There are different forms of B12 used in injections:
Cyanocobalamin (synthetic, common, less bioavailable)
Methylcobalamin (natural, active form, often better absorbed)
Hydroxocobalamin (longer-lasting, often used in medical settings)
If you're not feeling anything, you might respond better to a different type, especially methylcobalamin, which is already in the active form your body uses.
🧬 3. Genetic Factors (MTHFR Mutations)
Some people have genetic variations (like MTHFR mutations) that reduce their ability to convert B12 into its usable form.
These individuals often need methylated B12 (methylcobalamin) rather than cyanocobalamin.
🧪 4. B12 Alone May Not Address Your Main Issue
Fatigue, brain fog, or low energy might be caused by other deficiencies (like iron, magnesium, vitamin D), thyroid issues, adrenal fatigue, or even poor sleep.
B12 helps if B12 is the problem. If not, it won’t do much.
🩺 5. Your Body Might Need Time
Especially if you’re deficient, you may need multiple shots over time to rebuild your stores before noticing a real difference.
Some people feel it after one injection. Others need several.
🍔 6. Absorption Issues Are Irrelevant in Shots — But Gut Health Still Matters
While B12 injections bypass the gut, your overall nutrient status and cellular health still affect how well your body uses the B12.
Inflammation, poor diet, or other deficiencies may limit the effectiveness of the shot.
🛌 7. You Were Expecting a “High”
Some people think they’ll feel a dramatic surge in energy right away — like a caffeine rush. B12 isn’t a stimulant; it’s more like a foundational nutrient that helps systems work better over time.
For some, the effects are subtle but real (like improved sleep, less brain fog, better mood).
✅ What You Can Do:
Get your B12 levels tested before and after.
Try a different form of B12 (like methylcobalamin).
Check for other deficiencies or health issues.
Pair B12 with other nutrients (like B-complex, magnesium, or vitamin D) if you suspect broader imbalances.
-
Once every 2 weeks is a good place to start.
-
If your oral vitamins include B-complex, Vitamin C, or magnesium, that generally just adds to what’s already in the IV—no direct conflict.
Your body will usually take what it needs and excrete the rest (especially with water-soluble vitamins like Bs and C).
However, we may advise you skip oral supplements the day of your IV.
The MD and nurse will review your health history and note any medications that would require caution.
